Direct Reports: District Security Managers
 

Overall Job Function:  Provides coaching, direction and guidance in all matters involving safety, compliance, physical security & loss prevention to the DSM’s in the region as well as the Regional Team. Recommends actions to country organization, RSM & regional team members to secure and enhance the company standard in all forms of security and follows up on them.

 

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:

  • Ensures succession planning and development plans are in place for all security positions within the region
  • Provides support and  development  to District Security Managers
  •  Involved in country goal setting, follows up on execution of goals within the districts and coordinates the work to achieve decided goals and plans within security for the Region.
  • Supports regional sales organization and DSM’s to implement and coach H&M Security and Safety policies and standards.
  • Communicates results/issues within the Region to the Compliance Specialist, Security Manager  and Health & Safety Responsible and  provides plans of action through coaching of DSM team
  • Coaches, implements and maintains H&M Green standard to all functions involved
  • Ability to recognize and identify risks to the organization, physical risks to property, employees and customers to protect reputation and brand image
  • Aware of present and/or potential threats against H&M or our customers in the stores in the regional organization
  • Monitors changes in legislation and standards that affect H&M security within the Region
  • Analyzes data to detect deficiencies and implement measures if needed and follows up on the implementation with the DSM’s
  • Coordinates information flow of security messages within the region
  • Develops, trains and coordinates leadership and security education within the region  e.g. compliance training, external/internal crime training and safety training
  • Assists with planning, training and implementation of special projects (Routines Training, Store openings, Inventory, IT projects, etc.)
  • Implements, coaches and follows up methods for reducing shrink within the region
  • Coordinates and analyzes the result of the incident reporting system
  • Leads the security work according to the security plan within the country
  • Right to audit all businesses within the area of responsibility
  • Secures measures are taken when acute or unacceptable potential security risks arise.
 

Financial Accountability:

  • Responsible for coaching the development of the annual budget for the districts and managing  the regional security expense and capital operating budget of  for all stores, offices and warehouses within the region through the DSM Team
 

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years corporate or regional retail loss prevention management experience. Specialty store experience a plus.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of management experience

  • Ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential as well as outside vendors.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Power of initiative, organizing ability and result-oriented.
  • Good working knowledge about burglar, fire protection, fire detection, Access control systems, CCTV, EAS and alarm central
  • Good knowledge regarding local criminal law, information security laws and local safety laws
  • Strong knowledge about H&M business, security policies & standards, routines, organization and personal.
  • Good working knowledge about the market situation regarding guard companies and money transport.
  • Ability to travel min. 50% locally and internationally
